Nordic Blue
Luca Berti (IT/DK)
Luca Berti's exhibition explores the relationship between humans and nature in the Nordic countries - Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland - through the analogue technique of cyanotype. An Italian photographer based in Denmark and known as a master of slow photography, Berti travels the region by bicycle, working
exclusively with film and traditional darkroom methods. This project marks his first use of cyanotype, offering a new "blue" lens on Nordic life. The choice of cyanotype is deeply symbolic: the process depends on sunlight, mirroring the Nordic experience of long winters, bright summer nights, and the patience and resilience shaped by an unpredictable climate. Embracing imperfection as well as skill, each hand-developed image becomes unique, reflecting the authentic character of both the medium and the landscape it captures.
The exhibition · Nordic Blue will remain on display in our space until 26th October and can be visited during the hub's opening hours.
