𝐒𝐀𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐃 challenges the binary between two intertwined yet opposing conditions— loneliness and solitude. Being alone or / and being lonely. It seeks, both in the extremes and in the middle, a speculative space for revaluation, connection, or reconnection, as well as a possibility to rethink and recalibrate what we understand by autonomy—acknowledging its traps but also its necessity.
Loneliness is not a monolithic experience—it is dynamic, evolving, multifaceted, and constantly shaped by contexts, whether general, external, independent, distant, or individual, intimate, internal, and self-generated.
Relying on the generosity and pervasiveness of the subject, the curatorial approach strains forms and expressions of loneliness, emerging in spatial, domestic, or communal structures—disjointed, fragmented, irreparable, or, on the contrary, harmonious, induced, applied, cultivated, and necessary.
Ultimately, 𝐒𝐀𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐃 explores 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 as a space of tension, transformation, and, ultimately, choice.

𝐒𝐀𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐃 provoacă binaritatea dintre două condiții înfrățite, dar opozabile, „singurarea” și însingurarea. Singurătate și/sau solitudine. Se caută, atât în extreme, cât și în mijloc, un spațiu speculativ, al revalorizării, al conexiunii sau al reconectării, dar și o posibilitate de a regândi, de a recalibra ceea ce înțelegem prin autonomie, admițându-i capcanele, dar și necesitatea.
Singurătatea nu este o experiență monolitică — ci una dinamică, evolutivă, multifațetată, constant modelată de contexte – fie ele generale, exterioare, independente, îndepărtate, fie individuale, intime, interne, auto-generate.
Mizând pe generozitatea și generalitatea subiectului, demersul curatorial solicită forme și trăiri ale stării de singurătate, izbucnite în structuri spațiale, domestice sau comunitare, dezacordate, fragmentare, iremediabile sau, dimpotrivă, armonice, induse, aplicate, cultivate, necesare.
În cele din urmă, 𝐒𝐀𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐃 investighează 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐀̆𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐀 ca spațiu al tensiunii, al transformării și, în definitiv, al alegerii.
